Whilst exotic fruit lovers know all about the culinary applications of the soursop fruit and (to a lesser extent) its leaves, what is much less known is that the branches of the soursop tree can be used too!

Across Asia, soursop branches are, like the fruit and the leaves, believed to contain goodness. They are thus infused with boiling water to create a calming herbal tea, which is thought to possess beneficial medicinal properties.

The recipe could not be simpler. Simply let 3-5 branches infuse in boiling water for around 3 minutes, then remove. We think it is best consumed without milk, however you may want to add a natural sweetener such as honey.
