Fresh and frozen soursop leaves
Most people use dried soursop leaves for making soursop tea. However, we’re now seeing an increased demand for fresh leaves as some people consider these to be nutritionally optimal. From our experience, we find that both the fresh and dried leaves produce a good quality and pleasant tasting tea.
Due to the need to sell fresh soursop leaves quickly and the risk of wastage, most companies only handle the dried leaves. We receive fresh soursop leaves by air from the tropics just a day or two after harvest and ship them to customers usually within 48 hours of arrival in the US.
As far as we are aware, we are one of only a few companies in the US to provide both fresh and dried soursop leaves! Both our Sri Lankan and St Lucian soursop leaves are organically grown leaves which are harvested by hand in small batches and washed in spring water. They are harvested at the last possible opportunity before being packed for export meaning they are the freshest leaves we can source. In order to maintain a good crop of soursop fruits, there are limits on how many leaves can be cut from the tree each week so we only receive them in small quantities.
We usually supply fresh soursop leaves on the branches as this means they will stay fresher for longer.
